The Orchard Town Center: A Community Hub for the North Metro Area

Mar 04, 2019 10:25AM

The Orchard Town Center in Westminster is more than a shopping center: It is a community hub for the North Metro area. Conveniently located at the intersection of I-25 and 144thAve., The Orchard (as it’s known to locals) is the ultimate open-air shopping, dining and entertainment destination with something for everyone, day and night. Nearly 1 million square feet of retail space includes specialty retailers, mouth-watering dining options and unforgettable entertainment experiences, as well as events throughout the year to engage the community.

The center, which has been serving the community for 10 years, is home to more than 90 specialty retailers, including boutiques and department stores offering clothing, shoes, accessories, bath and beauty products, and home goods. Several wireless carriers have storefronts at The Orchard to keep visitors connected with the latest technology. Nordstrom Rack, scheduled to open April 4, is the latest retailer to join The Orchard.

The Orchard also serves as a hub for all your beauty and pampering needs. Several services are available, including massage, manicures and pedicures, eyebrow threading, facials and other skin services, and salon services for kids and adults. You can even keep your eyes healthy and your smile bright at one of the optometry and dental offices onsite.

Kids and adults alike have plenty of options for fun at The Orchard. Guests can catch a movie at the AMC Theater, climb and bounce at Monkey Bizness, or get creative while painting on canvas or pottery at Whimsy Paint & Sip and Color Me Mine.

Visitors can also get in a workout at Lifetime Fitness or meet with one of the many professional services providers who maintain offices at the center, including realtors, insurance agents, attorneys and a bank.

You are sure to work up an appetite while shopping and playing at The Orchard. A variety of dining options are available to satisfy any craving, from fast, counter-service sandwich shops and pizzerias to sit-down restaurants, ice cream parlors, and a wine bar.

The center also hosts more than 100 events per year, almost all of which are free to the public. These events include an annual summer concert series that runs from June through August, and other musical events throughout the year. During the Bubble Bash in August, millions of bubbles serve as a science lesson for kids preparing for the new school year. The center also hosts an annual beer and wine festival in September, a Halloween themed event in October, and a holiday kickoff in November. Many events serve as a fundraiser for The Orchard’s non-profit partners.

Several of the center’s retailers and shops also hold their own events.

A visit to The Orchard treats visitors to breathtaking mountain views, warm fireplace seating areas, a children’s play area and splash pad, and train rides. The center serves families with private nursing rooms and family restrooms featuring child-sized amenities. The center is also pet friendly. In addition, visitors can charge their phones and electric cars at charging stations at the center and enjoy free Wi-Fi in Town Center Square.
