After years of living and working in St. Louis, Jen Allen and her husband Tim decided to move to Broomfield with their two young sons.  They had visited friends there, and fell in love with the community.

“Broomfield is amazing,” said Jen. “We wanted to be able to get out in nature, and we knew we wanted to raise our boys here.”

The move was the first step in building a better future for her family, but first Jen and Tim had to sell their house in St. Louis, and find one in Colorado. Like many Americans, the Allen’s were not in an ideal financial situation when they met with a Realtor, and they left the meeting feeling frustrated.

“I knew there was a better way to handle people in the situation that we had just been through,” said Jen, who went on to get her Real Estate license in 2014 and opened AIM Realty in Broomfield in 2018.  She began as an assistant with a real estate agent, and worked with both large brokerages and boutique firms, learning best practices from both. Jen realized it was a great opportunity to help people and be part of the community.

Aim Realty provides comprehensive services for buyers and sellers, and Jen takes a hands-on and collaborative approach to each transaction, and prides herself in her attention to detail.

“I’m passionate about staging,” said Jen. “I also help clients declutter and get their house ready to sell. I educate the mon what will get them the best price and terms for their home sale.”

Helping families realize their dreams of owning a home, and helping others sell their homes to begin a new life somewhere else, are some of the best perks of the job. And, she has been able to help several families who were struggling.

“I’ve helped people who were in my situation,” said Jen. “a lot of people are in a bad state, for a lot of different reasons, and I’ve helped several clients get to a place where they can sell or buy. Nobody should ever feel embarrassed or pressured when they’re talking to a real estate agent.”

Jen offered these tips to homeowners considering upgrading or selling their home.

“Look at your house like the buyer does. Staging and decluttering are essential.  If you were to live in the house for the next five years, what would you do/want done to it?”

Aim Realty’s website, located at, provides information about buying and selling a home, a blog and home values. Jen welcomes questions, and recommends anyone considering a home sale, regardless of their situation, give her a call.

“If you’re having troubles, don’t be afraid to call a Realtor. You can call and ask me a question and I’ll answer it, with no pressure.”

Aim Realty is also actively involved in the local community, and has an adopted shelf with Broomfield FISH. Jen and her family enjoy hiking and skiing, relaxing at home and the occasional craft beer with friends.
